We work exclusively on the basis of the German Freight Forwarders’ Standard Terms and Conditions (ADSp), latest version. We would like to point out that, according to clause 23 of the ADSp, the liability of the freight forwarder for loss of or damage to the goods is generally limited to EUR 5 per kg of the gross weight of the consignment and that, in the case of a transportation contract for the carriage of goods by various means of transport and in the case of major damage, a limit of 2 special drawing rights per kg also applies.
